Fluttering through the air like a million fingerprints, snow falls.
One flake catches my eye. Its beauty attracts me completely.
The sun shines fiercely from within.
I give my hand to this snowflake,
my fingers tingle,
I do not think about frostbite.
Snowflake enchants me.
Temporarily stunned, I see new wonders of the world.
A new taste as lusty and inevitable as dawn.
Laughter.
A delicate crisply crackling underfoot.
But too many people heard, too many saw.
Inevitably, one day a snowflake will melt.
Instead of fuelling our love through coldness and frost,
one day it will be over.
As the snowflake melts
I pray my memory does not.
